Nice fight! Did you happen to catch the Pay Per View UFC 106 fights last night? Obviously the fight between Forrest Griffin and Tito Ortiz was the main event everyone wanted to see, but many of the other fights were good too.

The fight between Tito Ortiz and Forrest Griffin ended in decision with Griffin winning. Lots of good punches, Tito took him down a few times but didn't manage to get that much ground and pound in, and Forrest basically picked him away until he won.

Tito did start making excuses after the fight too, saying something about he had a "cracked skull" at the time of the fight, LOL. he did have a black eye before the fight even started. Nonetheless, many people, including myself wanted to see Tito ortiz get knocked off that high horse and see Forrest griffin put him down.

Congrats to the winner Forrest Griffin.

Susan Boyle Is Winning!

Although "Britain's Got Talent" contestant Susan Boyle's album isn't due to drop until November, it appears the singer is already climbing to the top of the charts.

Set for release on November 24, Boyle's debut album, I Dreamed a Dream, has already jumped to the top of the Amazon charts, thanks to an overwhelming number of preorders. The album's release date was announced just a few days ago and it seems fans just can't wait.

The frenzy even has Boyle beating out Whitney Houston and the Beatles for the top spot.

Handful of Habaneros

I've been preparing tons of habaneros for my various sauces and salsas over the past couple of days, and it has the whole house smelling like habaneros!

These small but wonderfully tasting chiles are very hot and to enjoy them fully you must be able to handle the heat that accompanies them. Having been a pepper lover for many years now, I am used to the intense heat that habaneros possess and am able to enjoy these precious fruits in many different dishes.

Whether it is for my great Habanero Salsa, or own of my own homemade hot sauces, these peppers pack the heat and will leave many at your party reaching for their beverage to cool their mouth off!

Be careful when handling these peppers. If the juice gets into a cut on your hand or even just your bare skin it can and will irritate the skin and cause burning sensations. Always wear gloves when handling Habanero Peppers. Regarded as the third hottest pepper in the world.

The Red Habaneros are hotter than their orange cousin, however the red are harder to find at the stores, this is why I have started growing my own Habaneros!

RIP Les Paul

I am without words, there is not much to say. One of the greatest minds to ever pick up a guitar,... hold up, scratch that... one of the greatest minds to ever BUILD and CREATE guitars.

RIP Les Paul, there is no way to even measure how many people this man has inspired through his creations and wonderful ways of teaching the rest of us what "tone" was really about.

Les Paul, the Waukesha-born genius who rose to become one of the most influential musicians in the 20th century, has died at the age of 94.

A representative of Paul made the announcement in New York.

Paul was best known as a pioneer in the development of the solid-body electric guitar and the originator of multi-track recording.

Paul, a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, was also a major recording artist in the 1940s and 1950s, and performed in Manhattan late in life.

With his wife Mary Ford, Paul enjoyed a series of over 25 top forty hits in the late '40s and early '50s including "Vaya Con Dios," "Hummingbird," and "How High the Moon." The couple later divorced and Mary Ford died in 1977.

Paul influenced scores of musicians in the worlds of rock and jazz. One of them was Steve Miller. Back in 1948, Miller's father struck up a friendship with Paul when the guitarist was visiting Milwaukee for a date at a local club.

"Les and Mary showed me my first chords," Miller told the Journal Sentinel. "He's such a great player, everytime I go to New York I go to the club and jam with Les. There's just this vibe around him. It's always a jam session and all the cats are always there."

Aside from making rock-and-roll possible with his creation of the electric guitar, Paul also contributed immensely to the advance of studio recording over the years with inventions like multitrack recording, reverb, and more than a dozen others.

Paul McCartney once said this of Paul: "Les was one of the greatest innovators in recording techniques," McCartney said in a statement. "The work he put into developing the guitar that was named after him made the instrument an all-time classic, and his incredible playing skills make him one of the masters of the instrument."

In 1990 Capitol honored him with a boxed set "Les Paul the Legend and the Legacy." The 4 CD box contained liner notes by Paul himself and 34 never before released tracks.

Born Lester William Polsfuss, Les Paul started performing at home when he was 10 years old, organizing his own little orchestra. He also became fascinated with electronics, building his own broadcasting set in his basement.

A Waukesha music teacher had told Paul's mother not to waste her money on lessons for the boy because he wasn't "musically inclined."

Carrying Guns To Town Hall Meetings

This is not an argument regarding whether or not citizens should be allowed to carry concealed weapons or not... however, I do find it intriguing that people have started bringing guns to Town hall meetings.

I find it even more intriguing that MSNBC has aired video of an anti-Obama protester who is carrying a non concealed gun to a public event.

From MSNBC:

Outside the event where President Obama will conduct his town hall, there is an anti-Obama protestor with a gun -- a pistol strapped to his lower leg.

The local police chief said it's legal for the man to have a registered handgun -- as long as it is not concealed. What's more, he is on private property, a church yard, which has given him permission to be there.

The loophole is, in New Hampsire, the church has given him permission to be there with his gun and he is within his rights to do so.

You would think, that in this day and age, crazed gun fanatics who are anti-Obama would not be allowed to be near the President of the united States! This is absurd!

How come these guys were not carrying guns to Bush Town Hall meetings and would they have been allowed to? Can you imagine a guy with a "Bush is a nazi" shirt being allowed to carry a gun while Bush was speaking at Town Hall event? I don't think he would be allowed to, so why are these people allowed to carry guns to public events like this?

What purpose does bringing a gun to a Town Hall meeting serve? Why would anyone need a gun at a Town Hall meeting?

It is intimidation, nothing more. No citizen needs firearms at public Town Hall meetings. The people encouraging this sort of violent intimidation are the people who want guns to be allowed to be carried by students in schools, in churches, and parks, everywhere.

It is hard to find reasoning behind this sort of thing, yet somehow it continues... America is just a word, but I use it.

I am not here to debate whether or not carrying a gun is legal, it most certainly is... however, you'd think when it comes to the safety of the president of the United States, there would be some kind of law on the books to stop people like this from getting within firing range.

What's next? More people carrying guns because cops cannot disarm them?

More and more people will bring guns to Town Hall meetings.

Online Gun Seller Sold Weapons To Multiple Killers

Could this guy be any more delusional?

His company has sold guns online to more than one person who then used them to kill innocent people, and his reply? We need to sell more guns online. LOL

MADISON, Wis. — An online weapons dealer who sold a gun or accessories to three mass killers, including a man who opened fire at a Pittsburgh-area health club this week, said Friday that any of the shooters could have just as easily found what they wanted at a Wal-Mart or another store.

Eric Thompson, whose company TGSCOM Inc. last year sold an empty Glock 9 mm magazine and magazine loading apparatus to George Sodini, the man who shot up a Collier Township, Pa., health club on Tuesday, said the sale was legal and his company did nothing wrong.

Selling weapons online must make some quite rich from the looks of things. In fact, real gun stores are said to be losing millions to "online gun dealers." So you know they are selling a lot of guns!

Thompson's company, which is based in Green Bay and employs about 40 people, also sold a gun or accessories to the shooters in the Virginia Tech and Northern Illinois University attacks.

Seung-Hui Cho used a .22-caliber handgun bought from TGSCOM in his attack at Virginia Tech in April 2007, in which 32 people were killed. Stephen Kazmierczak, who killed five people in an NIU classroom before killing himself in February 2008, bought two empty 9 mm Glock magazines and a Glock holster through a TGSCOM site.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms doesn't keep statistics on online gun sales, but Thompson said online sales are taking business away from stores. Thompson declined to say how much the company made in sales last year, but said it was "in the millions of dollars."

He also sold the Virginia tech killer his gun! Seems this is the hot spot for killers to buy their weapons online!

It is clear this guy just wants to sell more guns and in fact, tries to get guns to be allowed in school! I don't want people walking around a college campus with concealed guns, do you? These gun freaks will stop at nothing to sell weapons and have them in our schools. He sold the killer the guns and then wants to play the victim's friend and sell more guns to them!

Thompson visited the Virginia Tech campus after the attack to support a local chapter of Students for Concealed Carry on Campus. And after the NIU attack, he said the Web site Kazmierczak visited saw a spike in traffic.

These guys use loopholes and the internet to sell guns...

Federal law prevents the public from purchasing a handgun in any state but their own. People can purchase long guns, such as rifles, in border states. Firearms dealers, however, can transfer weapons to one another across state lines.

And his desire to sell weapons seems to be at the front of his defense instead of any kind of social responsibility for arming killers.

Thompson said attacks like Tuesday's underscore the need for people to protect themselves because police can't respond in time to crises, he said.

John Hughes is Dead

Awww man, not that he made anything good in the last decade but John Hughes is now dead, age 59, from a heart attack.

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Prolific film writer and director John Hughes, whose credits include the '80s teen films "The Breakfast Club" and "Ferris Bueller's Day Off," died of a heart attack while walking in Manhattan on Thursday, his spokesman said. He was 59.

Hughes also made Macaulay Culkin a star, writing and producing the three "Home Alone" movies. His spokesman said Hughes was visiting friends in New York when he died.

In the last decade, Hughes had largely turned his back on Hollywood to run a farm in northern Illinois. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Nancy, two sons and four grandchildren.

While I was not a fan of the Home Alone movies, what child of the eighties can say they didn't enjoy one of the first movies we saw to show being a"bad" kid, got you the girl? I loved The Breakfast Club movie and still own the DVD!

Mom Was Drunk Driving, Not Just On The Phone

Okay, so previously in my entry, Get Off The Phone and Drive, I mentioned one of the latest SUV-filled auto accidents. While the rant was definitely about people on the phone, and all reports indicate she was indeed on the phone while driving at different points before this accident.

Diane Schuler was drunk and high when she drove straight into oncoming traffic on a New York highway, swerving for nearly two miles to narrowly avoid crashes until she slammed head on into an SUV and took eight lives, including four children, investigators said today.

It has now come out she was in fact, intoxicated, and was drunk driving. She drove the wrong way on a highway and ended up killing more than just herself and kids, she killed others.

Schuler, 36, was killed in the July 26 accident on New York's Taconic State Parkway along with her 2-year-old daughter and three nieces who were riding in her van as well as three men who were in the SUV in the July 26 wreck. Her 5-year-old son was the lone survivor of the crash.

Schuler had a blood alcohol content of .19, more than double the legal limit and was also "impaired by marijuana," according to a statement released by state attorney Janet Difiore citing a toxicology report by the Westchestery County medical examiner.

They have classified this as "murder" now. However, was this a murder suicide? Perhaps she got drunk to kill herself and kids, and needed to be drunk to do so.

The crash was ruled a homicide last week before the toxicology report was completed, Westchester medical examiner Dr. Millard Hyland told ABCNews.com.

"It was ruled a homicide in terms of people being killed because she was driving in the wrong direction," Hyland said, and did not take toxicology into account.

The full report was completed Monday, Hyland said.

Roseann Guzzo, daughter of Michael Bastardi and Guy Bastardi, both crash victims, told New York's The Journal News that while the report explains the once mysterious accident, it does not justify it.

"This wasn't an act of God. This was her choice. She made the wrong choice," Guzzo said. "This isn't an accident. This is murder."

In an interview with Vanity Fair, the actor says he didn’t recognize the “beautiful blond woman” – who happened to be his daughter Tatum O’Neal – who embraced him at Fawcett’s funeral.

Aside from the incestuous accusations, let's just say he must have not been that upset to hit on a woman as the hearse is driving away... read this:

Man Found Guilty For Praying Instead Of Taking Daughter to Doctor

While any citizen of the United States has the right to refuse medical treatment, and can choose to "pray" instead, you cannot refuse care for your child and pray instead! This is the absolute center of religious wackoness! Anyone who would pray over a sick child instead of seeking medical treatment should be jailed.

A central Wisconsin man accused of killing his 11-year-old daughter by praying instead of seeking medical care was found guilty Saturday of second-degree reckless homicide.

Doctors say she could have easily been cured had she been brought to a doctor.

Doctors testified that Madeline would have had a good chance of survival if she had received medical care, including insulin and fluids, before she stopped breathing.

Nothing fails quite like a prayer, does it?

Dale Neumann, 47, was convicted in the March 23, 2008, death of his daughter, Madeline, from undiagnosed diabetes. Prosecutors contended he should have rushed the girl to a hospital because she couldn't walk, talk, eat or drink. Instead, Madeline died on the floor of the family's rural Weston home as people surrounded her and prayed. Someone called 911 when she stopped breathing.

Why call this guy a wacko? Let me get to that...

Neumann, who once studied to be a Pentecostal minister, testified Thursday that he believed God would heal his daughter and he never expected her to die. God promises in the Bible to heal, he said.

So should we get rid of our hostpitals and doctors in America because the bible says God will heal us? Absurd!

"If I go to the doctor, I am putting the doctor before God," Neumann testified. "I am not believing what he said he would do."

This man wilfully neglected his daughter and it resulted in her death. He tried to say he thought she had the flu, but when you read his disregard for doctors you know that is only being said to weasel his way out of responsibility for his own daughters death and casting it off on God.

Neumann knew he should have taken his daughter to a doctor and minimized her illness when speaking with investigators, Jacobson said, calling Neumann no different than a drunken driver who remarks he only had a couple of beers.

People like this who use the bible as a means to neglect and kill should be locked away from the population. In 2009, it is time to put down the bible and pick up the book of reason and logic which tells us medicine works and prayer does not.

Everyone who prayed in that room should be on trial and/or in jail for neglectful and willful manslaughter.

Kid Steals Car and Runs From Police

Another clear sign of the direction America is headed. Some 7 year old thug in the making stole his fathers car and ran from the police, and instead of being reprimanded and bringing shame on his family, he is on television today and everyone is laughing. Not me. I can't wait till they find this kid stealing cars 10 years from now. You think it's funny? If I had done this when I was a child, I would not have been put on TV and been paid for doing so. This family is accepting money to appear on TV when the kid should be as grounded as anyone can be.

Because my mother worked so many hours per week as single mom, I was raised by my grandmother. And I can tell you, had I done something like this, she would lit my behind up with either her hand, or the closet thing she could find. Call the CPS if you will, but this little brat doesn't deserve air time, he deserves a good old fashioned lesson in discipline.

He drove at speeds of 45mph and endangered lives of others, this is not funny at all. I bet if he had run over someone you people wouldn't be laughing, would you? Thought so.

Let's look at how the media played out when a 7 year old BLACK kid did the exact thing... no one was laughing and in fact, everyone vilified him and his parents. What is the difference between a 7 year old white kid and a 7 year old black one? Nothing but skin color and the way the media writes the story.

I call it like I see it. When white kid does it, it's funny and goes on TV shows. When black kid does it, media portrays parents as bad and bad kid... white parents laughed and enjoy the attention, black grandma says "If I knew they wouldn't take me to jail I would beat his a$$ right now!"

In Effort To Not Be Racist, Americans Become Xenophobic

I cannot help but notice, and point out the irony of this situation. In an effort to not be seen as racists, Americans have become xenophobic! Allow me to illustrate...

In the article, White House 'Beer Summit' Becomes Something of a Brouhaha, Americans are not happy with the choice of beer chosen by the participants in the "beer summit" called together by Obama, which consists of him, Professor Henry Louis Gates Jr and Officer Crowley.

How so?

The president's plan to toss back a few cold ones with some high-profile guests at the White House has the American beer industry hopping mad.

It seems people are upset the President and friends are not drinking, American beer.

Late Wednesday, White House spokesman Robert Gibbs hinted the presidential cooler will likely be stocked with what he understood to be the two guests' own personal favorites -- Red Stripe and Blue Moon.

"The president will drink Bud Light," Mr. Gibbs added.

The problem is that all three beers are products of foreign companies. Red Stripe is brewed by London-based Diageo PLC. Blue Moon is sold by a joint venture in which London-based SABMiller has a majority stake.

And Bud Light? It is made by Anheuser-Busch -- which is now known as Anseuser-Busch InBev NV after getting bought last year by a giant Belgian-Brazilian company.

Wo cares what kind of beer a guy drinks? Not everyone has the same likes and dislikes and when it comes to beers, that is every man's personal choice! There is no need to get xenophobic about it!

It gets better, look at these quotes:

Among rival brewers, the news fell flat. "We would hope they would pick a family-owned, American beer to lubricate the conversation," said Bill Manley, a spokesman for the Sierra Nevada Brewing Co., a California-based brewer that happens to be family-owned.

Jim Koch, founder of Boston Beer Co., which brews Samuel Adams, decried "the foreign domination of something so basic and important to our culture as beer."

I love the use of "foreign domination," it almost sounds like a war! Lubricate conversation? Is that what they call getting a buzz now? Alcoholics and those who promote alcohol use sure are funny when you don't drink.

Genesee Brewery, Rochester, N.Y., released a statement congratulating the president for having beer at the meeting but adding: "We just hope the next time the President has a beer, he chooses an American beer, made by American workers, and an American-owned brewery like Genesee."

Make no mistake, this is xenophobia at it's finest. A clear indication that America is still not only racist, but we still dislike foreigners! What a way to make even this event look bad. Embarrassing, but what do you expect from a bunch of alcoholics? if they act this way sober, you should hear what they say when they are drunk and behind closed doors...

But this is nothing new, even President Bush had names of desserts changed, what does old Bushy have against the French?

In general, the White House strives to showcase American food, wines and traditional concoctions at official meals and parties. Sometimes, even menu items with a foreign provenance are Americanized. In the George W. Bush White House, a favorite chocolate dessert was referred to not as a French-style soufflé, but as a "chocolate freedom."

Anyhow, a man's personal decision on what type of beer he drinks is his own business, and it is a shame that even in an event trying to bring people together and quell a bit of racism, Americans show their #1 characteristic, to hate and fear that what is different than our own. Which strikes at the heart of racism and xenophobia.

Get off the phone and drive!

Anyone else notice the increase of children-filled SUV accidents? Everytime I read the news story I ask, was she on the phone? Well, was she? Reports hardly ever address the question... recently an SUV ran into a tree on a residential street. No dog running across the street was reported, the mother just claimed she "lost control" of her SUV and her children ended up being terribly burned. And rescue workers were burned trying to save her kids. Hurray for heroes, but question still remains, how did mom lose control on a residential street with no oncoming traffic or any reason for her to do so? Was she on her phone??

Mother, Two-Year-Old Daughter, Three Nieces Among 8 Dead in Wrong Way Crash

Police are looking into how a woman who drove nearly two miles into oncoming traffic before plowing into an SUV head on in a fatal crash that took her life and seven others somehow became disoriented behind the wheel.

Fast forward to today. I am reading another news story this morning about a woman who drove head first down wrong way and crashed in her SUV filled with kids, killing not only herself and kids, but other passengers in other cars! So I ask myself again, was she on the phone? The answer in this case, could be yes, for this article actually mentions she called her brother while driving and he asked her to pull over because she said she was having problems seeing.

What was wrong with the driver? Lack of sense? She should have pulled over, instead, she caused fatal accident killing more than just her family.

On the drive, Schuler called her brother to tell him she wasn't feeling well. He asked her to pull over immediately. Schuler did not pull over, but her brother was worried enough to call the police.

So, here is a mom, who is having problems seeing, and instead of pulling over, what does she do? Gets on her cellphone and keeps driving. This horrible accident could have been avoided if mom chose to pull over and figure out what was wrong with her sight, instead of continuing to endanger the lives of her children and others while driving on cellphone.

And it's not like she made a quick mistake and turned onto wrong ay street. She did so for miles, and cars were swerving not to hit her as she sped in the fast line into oncoming traffic. Cops said cars were swerving not to hit her and she just kept going. Why?? Suicide?

"She was having some problems seeing," Lt. Dominick Chiumento of the New York State Police told "Good Morning America."

Two hours after the call to her brother, police believe Schuler turned onto the parkway, heading down an exit ramp with signs clearly stating that she was heading the wrong way.

She drove in the fast lane, straight into traffic. Oncoming cars swerved to miss her.

She kept driving for 2 hours after she called her brother!

One of the drivers in her path, Richard Rowe, managed to avoid a crash with Schuler who he said seemed "in total control."

"I don't understand. She was in total control of the car," Rowe said. "Maybe initially she was confused, but she had lots of time to correct her mistake. If we had been 30 seconds later, we would have been hit by her."

While driving while on phone may not be the case here, she was certainly using cellphone at some point while driving, as reports indicate from her brother.

The answer to my question, "was she on the phone?" is usually answered with a "yes" if you dig into the facts.

Hopefully cellphone use in vehicles will be banned soon, I really am tired of seeing people on the phone while driving. I have never, not a single time, ever driven while on phone. Most of the time I leave my cellphone at home, and am known for not carrying one, so I am allowed to speak this truth.

Three men from Yonkers, N.Y., could not avoid Schuler. All three were killed in the head-on collision.

Schuler's autopsy ruled out a heart attack or aneurysm, and police do not believe she was under the influence or suicidal.

Well, I guess it was bound to happen. Some dumb prejudice white cop had to open his mouth and no doubt will most likely end up being fired over an email rant where he calls Professor Gates a "jungle monkey."

A Boston police officer has been suspended and could be fired for a mass e-mail in which he used a racial slur to describe black Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates Jr.

Commissioner Edward Davis put 36-year-old Justin Barrett on administrative leave pending a termination hearing after learning of the slur.

Like him or not, whether he is a race baiter or not (he is) the man does not deserve to be called anything but a man. Referring to Gates as a "jungle monkey" will only make you look like the uneducated, dumb cop you are, Justin.

A person with knowledge of the case who was not authorized to speak publicly about the details told the Boston Herald that Barrett, a member of the National Guard, sent the e-mail to fellow Guardsmen and to The Boston Globe.

Don't you love these guys? Not authorized to speak to the public? LOL Yet, they ALWAYS do...

Barrett called Gates a "jungle monkey" in the e-mail, according to a copy posted online at MyFOXBoston.com. Officials told the Herald that Barrett admitted writing the e-mail.

If Crowley thought he couldn't get the press of his lawn, something tells me this goofball cop is going to be the focus of the story now that Gates, Obama, and Crowley are planning to get together for a beer to work things out.

I will say this though, as recovering alcoholic, who is now four years sober, it does make me think isn't there a better beverage to drink than a toxin that results in the deaths of so many Americans per year? While I have nothing against beer, I think it sends the wrong message to America. Alcohol will not fix your problems, it will only make them worse.

I have just listened to not only the 911 call in from the neighbor who reported the possible break-in at Henry "Whites don't understand black art" Louis Gates Jr rented home, but also that of Officer Crowley radioing back to dispatch that he is dealing with uncooperative male.

(NECN: Cambridge, Mass.) - Cambridge police have released a recording of the police transmissions after the arrest of Henry Louis Gates Jr.

Gates, a Harvard scholar, was arrested after a reported break-in at his home.

Sgt. James Crowley, the arresting officer, can be heard telling the dispatcher that a man who appears to be a resident of the home was being "uncooperative". Crowley also tells the dispatcher to "keep the cars coming."

To my surprise, at odds with what was reported, the woman who called in to report the possible break-in in progress actually says she has no idea what color the suspects are. Asked if they are white, black, or hispanic - she says she doesn't know, and that one looked hispanic but she could not tell. This is directly at odds with what was reported in media and should be noted. I will also say, man, do these cops try and make it difficult for you to report a crime or something? I could almost sense the caller's frustration as she was only attempting to report a crime, that was actually brought to her attention by a concerned elderly lady who stopped her! She did nothing wrong and was just concerned about recent robberies in the area and was trying to report a crime.

Onto the "uncooperative" relay between Officer Crowley and dispatch...

I did not expect to hear much on the Gates audio tapes, but I surely wanted to hear them. Since the only time you get a transmission from Crowley is when he is talking into radio, you can only make out Gates in the background, but not much at all of what he is saying.

Perhaps some more audio-gurus will decipher these transmissions and spill the beans on what is happeneding. But from my point of view the tapes don't reveal that much, only the state of mind of the people involved in this incident while the crime was being reported and during the event itself.

Gates Blamed Whites in 1990 2 Live Crew Case

After having someone comment that "if all I had on Gates was a 40 year old quote" maybe I should let it go, I decided to dig a little deeper. While I sort of agree with that comment, I did however take that as a challenge to find more recent quotes that show his racism and bigotry when it comes to whites.

If you did not know, Henry Louis Gates Jr was part of the 2 Live Crew Obscenity Trial in 1990, and he testified in court, on stand, that whites simply cannot understand black art. And before we go further, let me state, what this man referred to as "art" was a rap song glorifying the sexual assault/rape a girl.

At the 2 Live Crew trial, Gates testified that the rap album which describes gleefully the raping and beating of black women was on a par with the art found in Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales. The editorial policies of HUMAN EVENTS appropriately prevent me from sharing with you the sordid lyrics from that album, but I can tell you that when I appeared on Phil Donohue’s national television program with 2 Live Crew, one of the guests uttered just one line of the lyrics and the broadcast was immediately terminated all along the Eastern seaboard where it was airing live. This was art? Apparently the liberal network we were on didn’t think so.

This is quoted from someone at the trial, and you can clearly see the man has been pointing the finger at whites his entire life. Not only on his Yale Application.

To this man, a rap song about rape cannot be obscene and the only reason it is considered obscene is because of white racism? Give me a break!

This guy is a career race profiteer, and he has made his entire living trying to claim that whites are racist and use that to his advantage, even in a court room! ABSURD!

You maybe had to be there at the trial to believe what you were hearing -- or maybe not. Judge Gonzalez found the race-centric testimony of Professor Gates to be utterly unbelievable and absurd, and he indicated just that in his 62-page opinion.

Even the Judge found his testimony to be ridiculous.

After the verdict, the NAACP’s Dr. Benjamin Hooks weighed in on the controversy and rebutted with one sentence everything Professor Gates has built a career upon: “2 Live Crew apparently doesn’t understand that celebrating the raping of black women is not entertainment, and it is not art.” The vast majority of the phone calls and letters I got thanking me for my efforts in getting this album declared obscene were from African American parents, and one call I shall never forget was from a teenaged black girl whose friend was raped by a gang who played the album on their boom box during the rape.

Blaming white people for some rap song about rape being obscene via race baiting? Henry Gates Jr has long been up to this game and he learned it long ago.

So, as you behold the unfolding of this controversy that now has trapped the White House, and you hear Professor Gates’ and his surrogates’ charges that white racism is why he was arrested, take this word of advice from someone who saw this academic weirdo close up: Consider the source.

All he need do is point the finger at whites and scream "racism!" to get his way, and he tried it on a cop and it back fired.

People have tried to say the tapes would have been released already if they showed gates yelling, and things of that nature. The fact is, there is a process to getting things released to the public and now that an open request has been filed, let's see what happens. We know they won't release them on a Sunday, so perhaps early this week (the pdf file states they have 10 days to comply) we may get another glimpse into the minds of both the officer and Gates at the exact time of the incident.

Specifically, Judicial Watch seeks the following records:

Any audiotapes or videotapes recorded prior to, during, or after the arrest of Harvard Professor Henry Louis Gates on July 16, 2009.

On July 16, Sergeant James Crowley responded to a 911 phone call from a passerby reporting two men attempting to force open the door at Professor Gates' Harvard Square home. Professor Gates claims that he had just returned from a trip to China and his front door was jammed. He asked his driver to help him force it open.

According to Sergeant Crowley, after approaching the house, Professor Gates was belligerent and refused to provide identification when requested. Sergeant Crowley told the press he arrested Gates for disorderly conduct after the professor followed him outside the home "continuing [his] tirade even after being warned multiple times, probably a few more times than the average person would have gotten."

The Fraternal Order of the Police has expressed its support of Sergeant Crowley, who was previously selected to teach a course on racial profiling for a police training academy.

According to Professor Gates, Sergeant Crowley was disrespectful from the beginning, refusing to identify himself or his provide his badge number. Supporters of Professor Gates, including President Obama, suggested his arrest was racially motivated. The President, noting that he did not have all the facts, also said at a press conference that he thought the police acted "stupidly."

The disorderly conduct charges against Gates were dropped the day after the arrest.

"President Obama threw the race card on the table after the Gates arrest without having all of the facts. Uninformed, inflammatory comments on this matter by President Obama have widened racial division and undermined the rule of law. Judicial Watch seeks to help the public come to an informed opinion on the controversy," said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.

People should not let this incident bring out hatred or fear and racism... lets see what the tapes reveal and go from there.

Only a racist would put this on Yale Application

Professor Gates resentment towards whites has been long established. He has resented all whites with authority since his college days.

Only a racist would use words like this on his/her application to Yale.

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — The white police sergeant accused of racial profiling after he arrested renowned black scholar Henry Louis Gates Jr. in his home was hand-picked by a black police commissioner to teach recruits about avoiding racial profiling.

Friends and fellow officers — black and white — say Sgt. James Crowley is a principled police officer and family man who is being unfairly described as racist.

"If people are looking for a guy who's abusive or arrogant, they got the wrong guy," said Andy Meyer, of Natick, who has vacationed with Crowley, coached youth sports with him and is his teammate on a men's softball team. "This is not a racist, rogue cop. This is a fine, upstanding man. And if every cop in the world were like him, it would be a better place."

Gates accused the 11-year department veteran of being an unyielding, race-baiting authoritarian after Crowley arrested and charged him with disorderly conduct last week.

Crowley confronted Gates in his home after a woman passing by summoned police for a possible burglary. The sergeant said he arrested Gates after the scholar repeatedly accused him of racism and made derogatory remarks about his mother, allegations the professor challenges. Gates has labeled Crowley a "rogue cop," demanded an apology and said he may sue the police department.

To those who have read the police report, yes, Gates even began talking about the officers mother while calling him a racist! And I am glad this officer has a past that backs up his actions of NOT BEING A RACIST.

Gates on the other hand, is a race baiter, he makes money off racism. His entire status is based on the existence of racism, so of course, every time a white man addresses him he points the finger and pulls the race card. People like Gates are bottom feeders in society and simply bring up race and racism everyday and it's all they talk about and the only agenda that keeps him employed.

Gates makes his money from racism. If he can't point the finger at whites then he isn't making money. He is on television and all he talks about is race. He is no different than Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton who flock to racism and throw fuel on the fire just to sell books, dvds, and t-shirts. These race baiters are not new, but white people need to recognize them when they are spotted and never give in to their charges of racism because it is how they squeeze money out of the system and the only thing that keeps them employed.

If there is one thing that makes me sick is these "black scholars" who sit in robes and classrooms and just push their race agenda on students and actually fuel racism more than help stomp out the fires. Gates is the typical confrontational racist black whom will always feel any white man is racist towards him, because he is the racist. And don't forget to tune in to his tv shows about racism, and oh, don't forget to stay tuned for his documentaries based on racism, and it goes on and on... Gates is not against racism, if racism went away he would have to get a real job, and actually teach something educational instead of "black studies."

If racism disappeared tomorrow, Gates, Sharpton, and Reverend Jackson would all be out of a job and would start up a racism debate just to get whites and blacks arguing again... its their whole game.

President Obama Should Not Have Called Cops Stupid

While I will be the first to demand the police officers treat citizens with respect and dignity, I also believe the feelings must be mutual. With that being said, in America, when dealing with a police officer a couple things are known to be true.

1. never refuse to show a police your identification (especially if you are in a house that just had the cops called for burglary in progress)
2. never threaten a cop with words like "you dont know who you messing with" while continuously hurling charges of racism towards him as he is actually leaving your house and ending the matter"

This could have been ended fairly quickly and did not need to go down the way it did. However, I notice in most articles the writers are leaving out key components of this story. For one, witnesses that were outside the home (totalling from some accounts 7 - 10) actually made statements that back up the police in regards to how gates was acting when arrested! This is the most important piece of the story, yet to those like myself, who have read the police report, find the evidence against gates to be pretty clear cut.

He was in a home that the neighbor had reported a break-in. She claimed she saw two black males on the porch trying to break down the door. Then upon police arriving on the scene Gates refused to show his ID and became irate and began hurling insults towards the officer.

Gates could have ended this issue quickly if only he had done one single thing.

As soon as the cop asked for his ID, simply stated "Hello officer, I am Professor gates, this is my home, please allow me to get my ID and prove to you I am not entering my home illegally."

The officer would have checked his ID and moved on. But when you refuse to show your ID and the get irate and unruly, and start making phone calls telling the cop "you don't know who you messing with" and "you haven't heard the last of me" etc... you can expect to be treated a little different than the respectful law abiding citizen who addressed the officer with courteous reply and an immediate identification process.

Instead, gates was confrontational and wanted a racist even to promote his new documentary which he has quickly began promoting via the news reports. This professor should be ashamed of not only his behavior but the example he has set for those other black men who may find themselves in similar position. They too will become unruly, show no respect and most likely end up in jail... never once thinking it is their OWN BEHAVIOR that is putting them in jail.

Calling Gates “a friend,’’ and acknowledging he didn’t “know all the facts,’’ Obama said during a nationally televised press conference otherwise devoted to healthcare that he didn’t know whether race played a role in the arrest of Gates, who is black and a noted authority on race relations, by a white Cambridge police officer investigating a burglary report.

I am also amazed that Obama has claimed the cops were stupid for arresting hom. Gates and Obama are friends, this is a known fact that Obama has not denied and has stated himself. So it is no doubt that immediately, the black friend of the pres is right and the white officer is wrong.

“I think it’s fair to say, number one, any of us would be pretty angry; number two, that the Cambridge police acted stupidly in arresting somebody when there was already proof that they were in their own home;

he wasn't arrested for being in his home, he was arrested after continuing to follow the officer outside and berating him with accusations of racism even as he was leaving the scene! Including threatening the officer as he picked up his phone and made call to unknown persons claiming "you haven't heard the last from me." etc... this is not behavior of a professor, this is behavior with a confrontational, irrational racist black man looking for any reason to create confrontation to serve his purpose... selling his book/documentary.

Obama and gates should be ashamed of this racist behavior. Fact is, if any white man was caught in an upscale neighborhood pushing his way in a home and when asked for ID refused, he would be questioned and possibly arrested too!

Making this issue a race issue is exactly what these gates types need to promote their "blacks are victims" agenda, as i said, the professor is already making money off the event and will no doubt land an Obama interview in his upcoming documentary which I am almost ashamed to mention but feel it is my duty to point out those who profit from racism in America while trying to pretend they are not racist and simply use "black studies" as a way to promote "blacks are victims" mentality.

Gates is racist. period, and he is a loser here.

My Blackberries are fine though, for the concerned

Despite sometimes losing the battle to the vegetable and fruit stealing critters of the wild that make their way into our garden, our blackberry vines are so bountiful, the birds can have their share and there are still plenty enough for my family. There are so many blackberries at times of the year that we cannot consume them all, so I freeze them to use in my fruit smoothies. Yum!

I took this picture this morning as soon as I went outside in the morning sun. In the background is a blooming Confederate jasmine, which smells wonderful as I take photos.

Even my dogs eat them, and the berries that form on the ground level of the vines the dogs try and steal! So if the birds don't get them, my dogs will. But that's what these beautiful vines are here for, to produce wonderful tasting berries for all on Earth to enjoy.

Above is a picture of just a portion of the blackberry I picked this morning. I wash them, and put them in bowl on counter and we eat them throughout the day. I even give them to my dogs as treats. Even our dogs love 'em.

We have so many I started giving them to the dogs as treats, they love em! The oldest dog picks them off the vine if he can reach them, and even though he gets thorns on his mouth and nose it doesn't stop him! He loves the things and rushes out the door every morning to eat some with me.

They are packed full of Vitamin A, C, and those wonderful things called anti-carcinogenic agents. The phenolics in blackberries include anthocyanins, ellagic acid, rutin, gallic acid, hydrocaffeic acid, p-coumaric acid and cinnamic acid, plus excellent contents of the antioxidant vitamins A and C.

Someone stole my cherry tomatoes!

I woke up to the most horrible thing today, I was ROBBED during the night!

A bird must have stolen my cherry tomatoes while I was asleep! Well not all of them, but some of them. LOL

Every morning, as the dew is still glistening in the morning sun, I venture in my big backyard garden and take a look at the beautiful plants doing their thing. My wife and I are growing a wide range of herbs like dill, basil, mint and plenty of vegetables like tomatoes and cucumbers. Over the past few years, it's become one of my favorite things to do, and encourage anyone to get into home gardening.

But this morning, I was especially excited because the cherry tomatoes had really started to ripen to an almost perfect red and I was eager to pick some and taste them today.

To my surprise, a bird seems to have made his way into our garden and snatched a good number of my cherry tomatoes and all I could find was this very small one on the ground as evidence that "beaks" had been poking holes in tomatoes and making off with their organic booty!

To show the size of the cherry tomato I found on the ground, I picked a fresh blackberry off the vine and held it in my hand for comparison.

Our garden is fenced in and made so any thing with legs can't really get in and steal things, but its hard to keep birds out, so we let them take what they want and what they leave we eat. LOL

The taste of a fresh cherry tomato picked fresh off the vine from your backyard is as wonderful as the sweet and sour flavor of an organic blackberry just picked off the vine still moist with dew.

Books for the Expecting Father

Well, the day has finally come... after years of living with my wife, we are going to have a baby.

So, I went in the bookstore yesterday with my wife looking for a book she wanted and noticed something I had never expected, no pun intended, I saw just as many books aimed at "expecting fathers" as I did for the "expecting mothers!"

I had never ventured into the "pregnancy and baby care" section of the bookstore before but soon realized I had now become one of them!

I had never even thought of reading a book for fathers-to-be, and I am wondering if I should?

Have you ever read any of these books and do you recommend any specifically?

Red Salsa

So me and my wife have been making a lot of red salsa "salsa roja" lately trying to get it just the way we like it. And after today's red salsa, I think we have just about nailed it! We've been making this stuff for years, but it takes years to reach perfection!

Despite being unable to find "habaneros" I was able to find all the stuff we needed to make a true, authentic, mexican red salsa. Having lived in Los Angeles so many years, I can tell when salsa is missing something, or if it has that terrible ingredient, "vinegar" in it. Salsa should never have vinegar in it, and this is why I am turned off by all store bought salsas. They all contain vinegar as preservative and I do not like the flavor, it destroys the good flavor of the tomatoes and the chilis begin to taste "pickled" except for the lack of dill flavor.

So anyway... back to the salsa. Here is a picture of the finished salsa and we got the color perfect, the viscosity is just right, and the hot is perfect. Although I would have enjoyed it almost ridiculously hot with habaneros, the peppers we used were almost just right.

We used Anaheim Chilis, Jalapenos, and some other chilis that I am not aware of the name as the store had them simply called "hot peppers." They were long and tapered, they were nowhere near as hot as habanero, but the flavor came out great.

I know you can't taste it via the internet, but man oh man, I know you can tell it is quite tasty. It has garlic, cilantro, chilis, multiple types of tomatoes including roma and locally grown "Creole Tomatoes" and more.
